On November 4, 2024, JA and BASF co-hosted the third annual Final Round of the “Young Voices for a Sustainable Future” program under the theme of climate change. The event aimed to discover innovations that can reduce environmental impacts and contribute to long-term sustainability. Over 30 participants, including students and professors, gathered to hear presentations from the top three finalist teams, each presenting ideas that showcased the application of technology to address environmental issues.
Additionally, the students had the rare opportunity to tour BASF’s plant in Bang Pakong, Chonburi, to understand the production methods and industrial innovations that BASF uses to minimize environmental impact. This experience served as significant inspiration for students interested in making a positive difference in the future.
The competition’s top award went to the team from Chulalongkorn University for their project titled “Cocoa Value Chain Management Innovation Based on Economic Models.” This project focuses on creating a sustainable cocoa production chain—from cultivation to final export. The team received a grant of $2,500 to support their vision and bring this idea to life, aiming to generate a positive impact on society in the future.
